Recognized  by the Recording Industry Association of America  as one of the best-selling music artists in the United States with 33.5 million albums sold as well as only the fifth Black artist to crack the top 50 of the same list, named the most successful R&B artist of the last 25 years by Billboard we still have some hard time to take R. Kelly, his failed bad boy attitude and his cheesy songs seriously. We are not denying his talent but we are maybe saying that we did not need it. Neither did we need his latest song  and first single off his upcoming album Write Me Back, the sequel to 2010’s Love Letter, which musically could be defendable if you accept that he went to look for a 90’s understanding of a Bobby Womack. We’re open for discussion…
